Just as we thought we couldn’t handle any more social networks, Samsung is planning its own which will eventually compete with Facebook — so the company hopes — according to information received and printed by the Korea Times.
“Samsung Facebook” — that’s how it is called internally — will be available on a variety of internet-enabled devices, including cameras and televisions. To further improve its exposure, the South Korean manufacturer is planning to integrate its upcoming social network with Amazon’s cloud computing platform.
“By the end of the year, we will have a polished and finished version of Family Story that will be offered first to Samsung device users for free. The new service will become available in the first quarter of next year at the earliest,” said an official. Will you abandon your current social network, let it be Facebook, Google+ or another one, for Samsung’s own once it goes live in early 2013? Or is it already too much?
