Some social networks let their users keep in touch with friends – now there’s one that lets its users book trips, post available vacation properties, and find other travelers with similar interests. Hometel Travel, a relaunch of Global Sublets, is calling itself a “new kind” of travel site.
Much like longstanding travel sites such as Airbnb and Homeaway, Hometel Travel offers its users a peer-to-peer online marketplace where homeowners and property managers can post their available vacation rentals. Users, or “Travelers,” can then browse through listings to find what they want and then reach out to a “Host” to discuss renting their property.
Hometel Travel takes this design one step further, however, by including a fully integrated social media platform as well. Guests may contact hosts through chat services, and Hometel plans to introduce video chatting and video sharing services as well.
“We offer an integrated service that no other travel or rental platform has been capable of,” says Hometel founder Randy Williams.
Hometel’s development team believes that these kinds of sites, which integrate social media functions with an offered service, will become more common over the next few years. As of now, however, Hometel Travel may stand ahead of the rest.
Hometel Travel is a budget conscious peer-to-peer network created for homeowners and travelers to list, discover, and book unique vacation opportunities / vacation experiences worldwide. Hometel Travel allows its users to connect with prospective leasers and hosts via any channel of communication they prefer – including text based messaging and video sharing. Whether you want to find available spaces through an alumni network, shared lifestyle preferences, or even a common interest, Hometel Travel makes navigating a large global database of prospective rentals easy and fun.
