Toby Ward, President and CEO of Prescient Digital Media, has released his 2011 Social Intranet Study which examines social media use on corporate intranets and the magnitude, use, and popularity of social media by employees and executives. The survey results are in and it shows that businesses are starting to make their intranets more social by offering tools like blogs, forums, social networking and online chat on their intranets. However, it will take some time for them to become true social intranets.
