Vincos is out with its updated world map of social networks, which shows the most popular social nets by country. As I predicted (not so boldly) in July 2011, Facebook finally “conquered Netherlands, and with it the whole of Europe, Brazil (after a long struggle against Orkut), and Japan.” It is turning this world map blue, specifically RGB #3B5998. Vincos also reports that Russian territories are still up for grabs between the two main local players: V Kontakte and Odnoklassniki. Google Trends says Facebook is winning Russia, but Alexa disagrees. (Vincos will change its map when the two sources will say the same).
